Path : Mayfield Road Link

Status : Proposal

From the Mayfield Road area (Anchorage Way, Pembroke Way, Shackleton Close, St Andrews Road estate) there is no simple way of accessing the Cinder Track using a bike. Several steep flights of steps are present, but there is a need to provide bike access.

This project would be suitable for : Walking, Cycling, Wheeling, Scooting.

Land Ownership

The land off Shackleton Close, Anchorage Way is likely owned by Barratts (to check), the Prospect Hill allotments is owned by Barratts, and the bridge plus footpath alongside the play field is owned by North Yorkshire Council.

Design

The path would be the order of 500m in length, with a width of 3m for the majority of the length.
