Disability Path Access Survey

The Equality Act 2010 places a duty on local authorities to prevent discrimination against people with disabilities. Accordingly, local authorities must make reasonable adjustments to ensure paths are as accessible as possible. That said, there are paths within the Whitby and District area that do not provide such accessibility. In order to establish a baseline for potential interventions in paths to make them accessible for all, we aim to perform a survey of residents of Whitby and District, in conjunction with Whitby, Scarborough and Ryedale Disability Action Group.
